CODEZERO stands as a definitive force in the evolution of Drum & Bass, both within Puerto Rico and on the global stage. His odyssey into electronic music began in the mid-1990s when he became captivated by the creative possibilities found in bass-heavy soundscapes. Officially launching his DJ career at the turn of the millennium, CODEZERO quickly distinguished himself with a relentless passion and a keen ear for innovation. Over more than two decades, he has become synonymous with high-energy performances, genre-defying sets, and a pioneering spirit that has helped shape the island’s underground electronic scene into a thriving cultural phenomenon.

The foundations of CODEZERO’s musical journey were forged in the rich, diverse sound ecosystem of Puerto Rico, where the convergence of Caribbean rhythms and electronic beats sparked endless inspiration. It was within this dynamic environment that he launched the island’s first weekly all Drum & Bass night, opening the doors for bass music to embed itself deeply into Puerto Rican nightlife. He was the first Drum & Bass DJ in Puerto Rico with a weekly residency at the heart of the tourist zone in Isla Verde, at the legendary after hours "Xtreme The Club" in December, 2005.

His sets are a masterclass in musicality—combining the tight, rhythmic intricacies of classic Drum & Bass with cutting-edge productions and exclusive unreleased tracks. Throughout his career, CODEZERO has shared stages with titans of Drum & Bass and electronic music, including Fabio and Grooverider, the grand masters of Drum & Bass, Ed Rush & Optical, architects of the techstep sound, Bad Company UK and Black Sun Empire, which are some of the best Drum & Bass DJs and Producers of this era.

Other noted shared stage performers include Calyx & Teebee, Friction, The Upbeats, North Base, Makoto, and DJ SS of the World of Drum & Bass Tour, John B, Crissy Criss, State of Mind, Mampi Switch and many many more. Each shared show has been a stepping stone in expanding his musical lexicon and global influence.

CODEZERO’s musical footprint transcends clubs—and finds a profound expression in landmark outdoor venues that pulse with historic and cultural significance. Among the most iconic was his performance at El Tunel De Guajataca, a breathtaking location etched into Puerto Rican heritage, where he played alongside electronic pioneer Paul Oakenfold. This event merged the island’s natural beauty with world-class electronic music, marking a career highlight that resonated deeply with fans and peers alike.

His journey also led him to Europe’s revered open-air festival scene, including a powerful appearance at Fort Gorgast for Germany’s OBOA Fest, a major gathering known for electrifying free outdoor performances that draw thousands of enthusiastic music lovers annually.

He has forged a close partnership with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Egy Rodz, whose accolades include the Latin Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album for work on Kany García’s acclaimed record “Soy Yo” (2018), and American Grammy nominations recognizing his technical mastery.
